This week I visited a new sports blog that centers on the NCAA’s SEC Conference. It is called (www.saturdaydownsouth.com). This blog writes about the news surrounding the teams in the SEC Conference and the management of the SEC Conference. These range from articles about the SEC Conference making rule changes to Alabama basketball. Their setup is really well organized and it is very easy to find the latest trending articles.
The news reported from this blog is fresh and relevant about the SEC Conference. For example, there was an article published about recently about former Missouri Tigers football coach Barry Odom speaking out about how he was grateful to coach at the University of Missouri in Columbia after he was fired last week. I then checked Espn to see if they had an article like this about Barry Odom. I found no such article. So, I must give this blog credit, they are going out of their way to bring their readers information about the SEC that most other blogs about the SEC would likely never provide. I can easily see why this blog more than 100,000 readers to read their blog posts each day after seeing how they found the information about Mr. Odom.
If you were looking for information about just a single team from the SEC you could go to their navigation page and find the individual team coverage sites ranging from Alabama to Vanderbilt. If you were a fan of all things SEC this would be the blog to visit. I am glad that I visited this blog because I was able to see how a very well-run blog is kept up. My hope is that someday I can create a blog that is just as well setup and kept up as this blog.
